The Spanish language and Mexican culture has always been a part of Claudia’s life. Both of her parents grew up in Chihuahua, Mexico and later moved to the United States. She was born and raised in Michigan speaking both Spanish and English. She always has had a teaching spirit, although it wasn’t until her third year of college that she decided to pursue a degree in Spanish Language and Literature, which she obtained from Oakland University. Soon after graduating, she started working for Futura Language Professionals and fell in love with the program. “Teaching children this beautiful language and culture, through my education and personal experience, is such a joy!” She grew up surrounded by Mexican music, quesadillas, burritos and tamales, and now she is raising her son to be bilingual with the support of her family, and of course “Cri, Cri” and “Bob el constructor”, his two favorite Spanish cartoons! Claudia is responsible for managing the teaching staff in Macomb and Oakland counties.
