Veronica is a native Spanish speaker born in Mexico City, Mexico. She has been a life-long learner of the English language while remaining fluent in the Spanish language. She has studied English for over twenty-six years and recognizes the importance of a Bilingual education. She graduated magna cum laude from La Universidad Autonoma De Nuevo Leon in Monterrey, Mexico, with a Bachelors degree in Psychology specializing in Applied Behavioral Analysis. As an undergraduate, she started a translating workshop for technical terminology at her Alma matter and after graduating she established her private practice and worked with children with learning disabilities where she discovered her passion for working with young people. She has lived in the United States since 1996, and became a Professional Judicial Translator and Interpreter from the Southern California School of Interpretation. She is a Curriculum Developer and Language Instructor for the United States Army South, an Adjunct Faculty member of the prestigious Culinary Institute of America and is working on her Master’s Degree in Education. Her two children, ages nine and seven, as well as her extensive travels through Mexico and Central America, have reinforced her commitment to a bilingual education and the desire to encourage others to learn the Spanish language and culture. Veronica understands parents desire to offer children the best education for a highly competitive, global economy and is looking forward to expanding Futura’s impact on education throughout Sothern Texas.
